I am a full time writer and mother of 2. My main concentrations are in the Arthurian legends and poetry. I have articles published in Arthuriana which is an academic journal pertaining to King Arthur. I am a member in good standing of the International Arthurian Society, The Round Table North American Chapter. I have an Arthurian blog @ArthurianRomances.com, there I post my articles and articles of other Arthurian scholars. I also post beautiful pics that I love that are well within the genre. In addition to the book on Arthurian Romances and Medieval Texts that’s due out soon, I have a collection of poems being published as well. Some excerpts of the poetry can be found on my other blog at http://www.JillNYC.com. I hope you enjoy both beside my Love Of Words blog. My love of words sprung from both writing poetry and reading Old English and Welsh texts (As well as the hated purple prose which I happen to adore!) I welcome any comments or ideas you may have. Please feel free to drop by my Facebook page Arthurian Romances too!

  1. Hey Jill, It just struck me that your interests revolve around King Arthur. Interesting little coincidence; I went to school in a place in South Wales called Caerleon, it’s a nice little place with Roman remains such as an amphitheatre and baths. But, the place actually has some legends associated with it about King Arthur. You may have come across some of them but if not I just thought you might like to check it out on Google. : D

    • Hey Chris! Yet another reason I must visit Wales! In recent years there are so many scholars providing some interesting theories of King Arthur’s existence in Wales, and I have to say, they make some great arguments. I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you some great places to visit in NYC and if you know any interesting stories or folklore about Arthur in Caerleon or anywhere in Wales, let me know 😉
Thanks so much for getting in touch about this! I enjoy anything and everything Arthurian!
      All My Best,

  2. Hello! My other blog is Vintage Book Fairy, so I’m interested to learn more about the International Arthurian Society and your works. My adult son’s golden retriever’s name is King Arthur! He is a writer of this genre (fantasy related) — I will point him to your website and I will be over for a visit, myself. Very interesting scholarly focus!

    • Definitely stop by the Arthurian Romances blog! I love meeting new people who love the legends as much as I do! I’ve written articles for Arthuriana (an academic journal pertaining to King Arthur) and am a member of the International Arthurian Society. Info about IAS is on the blog as well. If your son likes fantasy, he should definitely check out Dawnflight by Kim Headlee. It’s fantastic! Thanks so much for your comment!
      All My Best,
