Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

Chorus.-For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

Robert Burns

Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote Auld Lang Syne, which translates loosely to “Days Gone By,” in 1788. It is often sung in English-speaking countries to bid farewell to the old year.

All My Best,
